It is a great honor for us to have been part of the first Pediatric Endoscopy Workshop program in collaboration with the Indonesian Pediatrics Society (IDAI). The workshop was held successfully on January 14th, 2024, with more than 40 enthusiastic participants eager to enhance their knowledge of endoscopy techniques in the pediatric field.
This event featured 7 hands-on workshop stations, each allowing participants to try their hand at various skills, including scope handling and tip control, basic Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) and insertion techniques, basic colonoscopy, and loop management, handling bleeding, foreign body removal, polypectomy, and balloon dilation.
Throughout the event, participants familiarized themselves with endoscopy, engaged in discussions about cases involving pediatric patients that could be addressed with endoscopy, and immediately applied their endoscopy skills on the mannequin.
